[CLOSED] Client Application
[CLOSED] Client Application
We can all agree that UMS is a server based application and that there should be a built application specifically designed for the client side in all types of environments. Right?
Now i understand the huge amount of development this could be, but think of the further troubleshooting, you technically only need to support one application then.
Yes their are variables like TV's or other things that make it truly "Universal".
But wouldn't it be nice to have a Windows/Mac/iOS/Android built app made specifly for the UMS?
I see about 20 Different DNLA apps for android in the market... and we know Airplayer defiantly works for iOS =)
Other DNLA server based apps have a web interface for PC's or Mac's
Just a thought.

Re: Client Application
Actually I done this for PMS/UMS. A PC version and an Android one. The android one has some issues with video streaming (no player is good enough and I don't want to hack my own). However it works as a "control point" in DLNA, that is kind of a remote control (and audio and images works like a charm). Maybe I should refresh this a bit?

Re: [CLOSED] Client Application
Both for ANdroid and iOS you should use Skifta. Its so far the only DLNA certified App.
