m2ts file time skip not working

I have always had a little trouble streaming m2ts files to my PS3 with UMS. Skipping time (eg from 1.00 min to 3.00 min) has never worked. Whenever I do that, the playback re-starts from 00.00.00, ie from the beginning instead at the skipped time, but the time counter on PS3 states that it is playing from the new time. Time skipping works without a hitch for mkv files. I am attaching the log file, although I doubt it shows what is happening.
