Adding Network Drive to Shared Folders

I have a 1 TB USB drive connected to my Airport Extreme that I store movies on. Movies play fine if I transfer them to the Movies Folder on my iMac. Is there a way to play them directly from the USB Drive by adding the USB Drive to the Shared Folders? I can't find any posts on mapping a drive.

Got it, if you add the USB drive to the desktop, you can then see it in the Desktop Folder and make the connection there.
