Video files show 0 bytes and doesn't play

Post by mordorwarior »

Hi everyone.

I came accross such an issue and I am unable to play any video file from my network. The avi files are hosted on a windows server running Universal Media Server. I have TV set Philips 40pfh4509 and Android Media House app as a client. On TV Every single video file shows 0 bytes in the directory, no matter the original size, and it doesn't play. The files show proper sizen on Media House, but I am also unable to play them.
The same avi files are played properly by the TV and Android when loaded via USB or accessed through other server software ie Twonky.
Any suggestions?

Here U go. I would add, that none of the video files displayed in the log was played properly. All of them showed "0 bytes" in directory and while I tried to play them, the TV just showed blank screen with empty progress bar, so that I pressed "stop" button. Another thing - not all the "start/stop" acions were generated by me. Some of them happened automatically while I stared on the blank TV screen.
