So with the previous version of the media server i had to make a personal conf. file wich i did and it worked. Recently there was an update and it no longer works, i tried changing the conf. file again but so far no succes.
I would love to show you a bug but unfortunately nothing shows up in the trace loglevel besides started playing "name of video" and stopped playing "name of video".
That being said i will show what i get on screen before it stops playing on it's own, also a link for the old conf. fil and the file i tried to make now.

- what i get to see on screen with current conf file

I hope somebody sees what i'm doing wrong and can help me.

Older versions can be downloaded from
https://sourceforge.net/projects/unimed ... s/Windows/
Sorry to say but the latest logs weren't right either, please follow the instructions or I won't have enough info to help you (change log level to trace)

Yeah your right my bad, figured i would post the debug log itself since when i put it on trace i see like no info at all but ok here is the debug zip when put to trace.
- ums_dbg.zip
- ip adress with .135 is the panasonic sc btt 590
- (24.82 KiB) Downloaded 669 times
I'll edit my post with a log from the older version later on
ok so i finally found the version i was working with back then but unfortunately it doesn't seem to work anymore. I put the config file in and it recognized my so called "unknown render" but i got the same visual result as the newest version. I have no idea what changed since my local network stayed the same and no firmware update has occured on the bluray.
Since it didn't work i doubt this is useful but here is the trace that went on the old version. (i did have 1 where i used the tsmuxer one and then it played but only on like 3/4 of the screen top to bottom wise and no subs)

So does anyone have an idea why the old version doesn't work either anymore or an idea why the current version isn't working anymore?

What that setting means?
Code: Select all
TranscodeVideo= AVCHD-DivX HD-MKV-MPEG 2-MPEG 4-MOV-XVID
TranscodeAudio=MP3-FLAC
UMS supports only following profiles
Code: Select all
# TranscodeVideo: Profile to use for transcoding video files.
# One of the following:
#
# Profile Video Audio Container
# ----------------------------------------------------
# MPEGPS-MPEG2-AC3 MPEG-2 AC-3 MPEG-PS
# MPEGTS-MPEG2-AC3 MPEG-2 AC-3 MPEG-TS
# MPEGTS-H264-AC3 H.264 AC-3 MPEG-TS
# MPEGTS-H264-AAC H.264 AAC MPEG-TS
# WMV: WMV 2 (WMV 8) WMA 2 ASF
#
# These profiles are supported by the MEncoder, FFmpeg and VLC engines.
# Default: MPEGPS-MPEG2-AC3
TranscodeVideo =
# TranscodeAudio: Profile to use for transcoding audio files
# Currently supported: "LPCM", "MP3" or "WAV".
# Default: LPCM
TranscodeAudio =

Well since i'm a beginner at putting those things in, i just found the specs the bluray could handle and put em all in there assuming that ums would automatically pick the one it can use.
So if i see correctly do i need to remove pretty much everything except MPEG 2 in the video line and keep only the mp3 line in audio line? i'll try it in the meantime guess it can't hurt
tried it and didn't make a difference

Sorry for all the trouble with creating new logs but I have to ask for one more

What I need is logs of you playing a file successfully, like you used to be able to do, so I can compare that with the broken logs and see what has changed.

I would love to be able to play a file succesfully then i can keep using whatever works to watch movies but atm i can't get any version to work. Not the new version that it updated to nor the old version that i used before the update. The bluray didn't get a firmware update so that can't be it, my pc is still the same, every switch & router on my network is still the same so i am really drawing a blanc here.
If there is anything that you know of that might be it just tell me and i'll try it.
