Re: Ampli config
hi,
We need you to undo the changes you made in the file because it doesn't work any more very well. I've changed some parameters, now it's good.

Re: Ampli config
Hi,
I'm new to UMS and am just learning the config concepts. I also have a Yamaha R-N500 as one of my clients.
I was wondering, why flac-files are being transcoded. I guess the reason is excatly this conf file presented in this thread, that was integrated into UMS. I'm still wondering though: Why was mp3 given as the only Streaming Format? Or am I missing something important? Would it be ok to just integrate flac? And what would be the proper way to do so? I mean, if I just overwrite the existing file, I will loose my changes with the next update...?
Is there someone who uses a more flexible conf file for the R-N500?
Note that the device Claims to Support via DLNA: MP3, WMA, MPEG4, AAC, WAV, FLAC
On a different note, how do cue-files figure in? Does UMS use These? What do I Need to do to integrate them?
(and why the heck is this Forum capitalizing like every second word...? Oh well...)
Best,
YeOldHinnerk

Hi,
That is a great observation. Thanks
You can add these lines, but strangely some files are not readable.
StreamExtensions = wav, flac, mp3, wma, aac, m4a
# Supported audio formats:
Supported = f:wav m:audio/wav
Supported = f:mp3 m:audio/mpeg
Supported = f:aac m:audio/x-m4a
Supported = f:wma m:audio/x-ms-wma
Supported = f:flac m:audio/flac
Supported = f:m4a m:audio/x-m4a
