Transcoding dts produces digital audio noise
With default settings dts audio is transcoded. This creates a digital audio noise in very loud volume, scaring the shit out of my cat.
This goes for two movies I've tried with. Both on my LG tv and on XBMC, both streamed over upnp. Disabling transcoding solved the problem, but obviously only where dts playback is available.
You cannot hear anything like original sound. It is only noise. Like really bad noise. Using GNU/Linux and UMS in headless mode.

Re: Transcoding dts produces digital audio noise
I think this is fixed in the latest versions. Of course there is always the possibility that UMS is connecting to a renderer that supports DTS (in which case we will send it by default), but you have an amp running off that renderer that doesn't.
