UMS up (and connected) but renderers do not see server on network

I can see the renderers on the status page of the server, but the renderers can't find the server? I can see there is a listen connection on port 5001 on my primary ethernet interface (en0)...what could possibly be blocking the client from seeing the server (FW is off).

Sorry I don't have an answer to your question but I also have the same problem just to show you're not the only one. Using an iMac OS10.6.8 and was using UMS 5.0.0. I have this Grace Digital Internet Radio to play my iTunes Library and UMS 5.0.0 sees it just fine as an XBMC renderer and knows the radio's IP, but the internet radio doesn't even see UMS as being available (No PCs found). However, if I shut down UMS 5.0.0 and go back to using UMS 4.4.0 the internet radio sees the server just fine and plays my iTunes Library without a hitch. I'm using the *exact* same preference settings for both UMS software. I thought I was going nuts. It's definitely not a firewall problem since the same ports are being used for both.

I've tried the latest UMS on two different Macs with one running Mavericks and the same thing happens. This kind of stuff is annoying because UMS 5.0.0 looks so nice but I have to use the older version just so the radio will stream properly. As long as one version of UMS works I'm satisfied. The internet radio used to also work with Plex until Plex got a major upgrade and now the radio only sees playlists, but doesn't play any songs (it thinks the playlists are empty). I never can count on any software being improved and that it works the same as it improves.

Seriously, how is it even possible that UMS sees the radio, but the radio doesn't see UMS. Freaking weird. I guess I'll download 5.0.1 and see if that works for me.
