No MPEG or .mkv
I just switched from PMS 1.90.1 to UMS 5.0.1 (java 8). Now, my renderers (PS3 or Sony BDP-S370) only shows the files with the encoding "M2TS" (either in .avi or .mp4) and none of the files with the encoding "MPEG". It also doesn't show any .mkv files, with either "M2TS" or "MPEG" encoding.
On the same server/renderers, PSM 1.90.1 shows and plays all my files without a glitch.
USM is on a Mac mini (Late 2012) - Yosemite 10.10.2

You didn't follow these steps to give us a full TRACE log: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=556
So you log was not too helpful. Your MP4 files are hidden because they can't be parsed.
The reason will be in your TRACE log.
