No renders found issue.

Post by dadish »

Okey where to begin. I just bought two new network equipment. One router and a Repeater. Everything is installed correctly and UMS worked flawlessly. But suddenly something changed. UMS can detect that something is trying to access it hence the "access granted to" but then nothing happens.

I did some digging around and thought maybe its because they are not at the same subnet but everything seems to be in order there as well:
"Using address /192.168.1.5" <-- Server
"Access granted to /192.168.1.6" <-- SamsungTV
But nothing happens. I tried to update to latests UMS 5.0.1 but the issue remains. Its same issue when I try to connect with my PS3. So now i have decided to make a post and ask for help.
My setup is like this. I has a wireless access from my computer to the main router. While my TV is connected by wire to my repeater. The repeater then has a fastlane to the main router. All devices are under the same subnet.
Computer IP: 192.168.1.5
TV IP: 192.168.1.6
PS3 IP: 192.168.1.10
etc

If you need something else from me in order to help me feel free to ask and i shall do my best. Thank you for your help :)

Hi dadish, thanks for the post. Do any older versions of UMS work?

Hmm i got it to work. Made a clean install. Unplugged everything turned off both routers. Rebooted and voila it worked... must have been a conflict or something. It works now.
