Lg tv does not see UMS

The title says it all. My LG smart tv which can see other servers in the house, does not see UMS. UMS, however, can see the LG smart tv. The LG TV even can see other media software on the same computer as UMS, but not UMS. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a fix?

I have the same problem.
I recently bought LG 55LA690S. After connecting to internet it updated its firmware to version 04.25.05.
When I start UMS (5.0.1) it is not detected or visibile in any way in LG tv altough UMS sees its and selects conf [TV][LG]55LA690S-ZB-2366de.conf

I cannot use UMS in any way for my LG tv now

I've just verified that when I use old PS3-Media server (1.90.1) LG sees it and is able to use it (play movies).
What is strange also, I have TV panasonic viera TX-P42V20E, but this one is not even seen by UMS. (Of course TV does not sees it too)

I suggest you update to latest 5.1.0 and test again. If not working just make a parallel installation in a different folder of UMS 4.X (so you have both branches installed) and try with the previous serving/discovery code.
That will be easier for you to provide logs and help devs detect what changed for the wrong. I hope it helps!

In the UMS.conf you have a line begining by "uuid = ..." you can delete it and reload UMS and switch on the TV before loading UMS.
