VLC not found

UMS does not find VLC although it is installed.
This has been a long standing issue but not critical since I never use it.

I have installed 64 bit VLC 2.1.5

I had the same problem. I found a solution though. You need to edit the UMS config file manually and add the path to VLC there. Look for the line that begins with vlc_path =

This is line from my config file with the path to vlc added: vlc_path = C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe

I did that and restarted the server and vlc is now found.
