PS4 stuttering
Hi all.
Please bear with me, as I am completely new to UMS. I am attempting to stream video wirelessly from my PC to my PS4, but on many videos i am experiencing a great deal of stuttering, to the point that many things are unwatchable.
I have searched the forums and the web and have experimented with different advanced settings in UMS but without success. There is no change regardless of how I have the setting configured, the videos that skip just keep skipping and many times seem to do it at the exact same places. I know i am somewhat describing a scratched record but i assure you the files themselves are not the issue. I really like UMS and would like to resolve this. Any help would be appreciated!!

Re: PS4 stuttering
Hi utahhawk, there are a couple of common causes for this - either the CPU isn't transcoding quickly enough, or the bitrate of the video is too high for the network. You can diagnose it by plugging your PS4 in via ethernet cable temporarily and see if that fixes it. If it fixes it then it's the bitrate and you can use different settings to lower the bitrate.

That did the trick! Thank you so much for the help!!
