Where does UMS store image file for videos?

Post by mysterymate02 »

The image file associated with an MP# I downloaded is now showing for all videos in the same folder, even though the MP# has long since been deleted. I've tried looking everywhere I can think of where UMS may be storing the image to assign to items in the folder with no luck. Any help would be appreciated!

Without checking, I think it's stored in the "cache" database. Try the "Reset cache" button, but be aware that it will delete everything that's cached, not only that. The cache will however fill up again automatically as you browse/use the media.

Thumbnail Images are temporarily generated from videos and when stored in the database they are deleted.

EDIT: maybe you have one or more images in the folder which name starts with or contains "albumart". In this case all video or audio thumbnails are set to that image because it takes precedence over the rest of images in the folder or generated thumbnails. To use external images for video/audio thumbnails the image must have the same name as the video/audio and must be stored in the same folder.
