Hello, everyone!
I am a newbiest of the newbies about UMS. So, please forgive me if I ask for a very simple thing.
I have a Sharp Smart TV LC-43SFE7452E (user manual:http://www.sharp.eu/av/sha-man-0036_ver8_print_web) connected to my home wireless network, and I want to use UMS for watching movies from a laptop (Windows 7) to that TV, without those HDMI cables. Pretty simple, huh? Well, for me it isn't!
I instaled UMS 5.5.0 on laptop and I run it. The soft recognize my TV as SharpDMR and it says that it is "Conected".
And that is all!
My TV does not recognize anything about UMS. When I select Media Server in its menu, it says that it has 0 device connected. When I look in "Source" menu, UMS is not there.
After some long battles, I discovered that if I press a special "Play" button on laptop, my TV become a little bit smarter and it try to play something. This is the sharmed button:
But, here is the limit of my TV. A few seconds it says "Decoding" and after that it shows me a nice black screen for... forever! And it become blocked in that state until I press the power button on the remote. And about 20 more seconds.
I think that I'm not smarter enough for this sort of technology and I do something wrong. But... what?
Maybe somebody can help me, at least with a good (aka "for goofies like me") user manual of UMS.
