Play-Fi renderer support

Post by Klidec »

I just purchased a new receiver. the Anthem MRX720. It supports Play-Fi which seems to be a competing standard to Airplay. There is an iPhone app you can download. The app finds the receiver and treats it as a speaker that it can stream media to. In the app it can find DLNA media servers and does seem to find UMS.
Play-FI currently recommends using these media servers:
https://play-fi.com/faq/entry/recommend ... r-software
https://play-fi.com/faq/entry/supported-media-servers

Would be great if we could add UMS to the mix.
I tried playing with the renderer conf files but I really don't know what i'm doing.

Supported Audio Formats:
https://play-fi.com/faq/entry/supported ... le-quality
FAQ:
https://play-fi.com/faq
Supported products/receivers/speakers:
http://listen.dts.com/pages/play-fi

Hope this along with the debug capture is enough info.
I'd be happy to test a conf file.

thanks for the help!

the attached renderer conf seems to work.
I was not able to figure out how to use Mediainfo and supported audio format statements.
But this seems to work for me.

The other issue might be around the user agent search match
UserAgentSearch = Darwin/14.0.0, UPnP/1.0, Portable SDK for UPnP devices/1.6.19
I don't think that the above will be unique enough.
