Viewing pictures

Hi,

Wondering if anybody knows a workaround for viewing photos on the PS3. When I try to view photos on my PC's hard drive it becomes very slow to skip to the next photo if it is Portrait.

If the folder has only landscape Pictures it is no problem.

Any help appreciated.

In your renderer conf change below line to FALSE:

AutoExifRotate=true

On a side note also generating thumbs is quite slow so you can try disable "picture thumbnails" in UMS GUI if it helps with listing speed.

That did the job.

Anyone know why the system can't handle rotating the pictures? Will there be a fix soon?

I am not sure. I remember from past that changing orientation for pictures was very very slow but I thought the delay was shortened with more recent versions of convert tool but it seems it is not true.
If it is still so slow maybe better to use another tool or its params? Should be tested how it behaves now
