can I stop ums from transcoding avi files for xbmc?

I have Ums 2.5 installed on a server pc windows 8 x64 and a xbmc media center installed on a laptop running windows 8. the problem I am having is that ums is transcoding avi files for xbmc witch do not kneed transcoding, is there a way to stop transcoding for xbmc media center thans regards.

Update you XBMC.conf and set StreamExtension (or whatever it's called) = avi

Look into the renders dir (found in your UMS install dir)

Find the file called XBMC.conf

Look for "StreamExtensions=..." and add avi to that list (,avi to end would do the trick)
and then save close restart UMS

Great thank you very much that did the trick, I had to put avi first in the list for some reason when it was last it did not work, it is now working perfect thanks
