x265 playback not working?
Hi,
I've been trying to get x265 files to stream to my TV but can't get it to work. I have a Samsung UN55H6203AF TV which maybe doesn't support x265 in which case I just can't? Not sure. I attached a file of me trying to play a x265 file and it saying codec not supported. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it
Thanks

Re: x265 playback not working?
Been a few threads about x265, i'm not really sure whats going on with it, i know my Samsung TV will play normal X65 but NOT the 10 bit x265 files, might be something worth checking.
In the past, UMS used to stream stuff that could play directly and transcode stuff that doesn't. Somewhere around version 5, that seems to have stopped happening.

That's still how it works for most users so it may be a bugchamelious wrote:Been a few threads about x265, i'm not really sure whats going on with it, i know my Samsung TV will play normal X65 but NOT the 10 bit x265 files, might be something worth checking.
