How do I know that only I can access UMS?

Hello,
I'm getting a lot of media renderers that I definitely don't own and are probably my neighbors. What I need to know is whether or not these unknown renderers have the same access to my PC that I do? How can I be certain that only I'm accessing my files and nobody else? Thanks for your help.
