Subtitle Issue - Samsung TV

Hi there,

I've just upgraded my UMS version from 5.0 to 6.5.1 and I'm afraid I'm facing an issue when adding external subtitles since then.

The external subtitles are added when I play the video from my Samsung TV, but the accents in the text, like 'á' or 'é' are not displayed correctly, and some funny characters, like '%[', appear instead.

I'm forcing spanish subtitles as I configured in the previous UMS version, but I'm afraid the issue still persists. Would you be so kind to review it? I've attached the trace files.

Cheers!

Quick update: I've just re-installed my previous version and the issue is fixed. So for the moment I'll stay in the old version, anyway, it will be nice to get this fixed in the latest one :)

Cheers

Hi fabio5000,

that could be related to this commit: https://github.com/UniversalMediaServer ... 6d579ce85e

You'll need to provide a full TRACE log as explained here:

Do you get this issue only with SRT subtitles external files ? If yes, do that affect all the SRT files ?
