Updating manually is not a big pain, but automatic updates would be so nice.

there is a option but its not turned on by default on the general settings tab of the ums its the next tab after logs you can take a look on the settings there is one called verify automatically for updates or check automatically for updates something like this.

Unfortunately, they're greyed out for me (maybe doesn't work for the Linux version?)
