As for the support for 4k over network... I can't confirm that. I can't find anything on internet about it and can't test it myself because both dlna solutions that I use (UMS on the PC and Plex on my freenas NAS) fail to deliver 4k in this setup. [Solved] LG 55UF950V - UMS keeps downsampling videos to 1080p
So far I have this problem with UMS on my LG 55UF950V tv set. While everything else seem to work fine when it comes to 4k videos UMS starts transcoding everything down to 1080p h264. Is there a way to fix the configuration to assure UMS the tv is "4k-able" and so just send the files as-is without ...

I had no problem working the timeline back when I had my 55LA660S. I used the airmouse to move the slider anywhere I wanted and also the left/right directional buttons to skip 10 secs at a time. It worked every time. It definitely sounds like you have a configuration problem.

I'm using UMS 2.6.4 with my Samsung E5500 bluray player and it works great out of the box without me having to tinker too much with the settings, mostly because the player itself is quite capable in playing natively all sorts of video and audio formats and so I didn't get into any transcoding pains ...
