Was this ever confirmed working?
Because I'm currently trying to get WMP12 on Windows 8 working, and it can see UMS, but I cannot see any media or even any folders.

Yeah, thats kinda what I would have expected the new media folder to do as well.
In fact I have that working in a local branch of the source, but I've got to play with it a bit because it seems awfully inefficient at the moment (its still building a DLNA resource for each folder, just not ...

So I'm curious how people are using UMS and how they structure their media.
I'm only using UMS for serving TV shows from my windows PC to my Sony Bravia.
I have all my TV shows stored on an external USB3 hard drive, they are are in show folders, with season folders under that.

So I've posted this elsewhere, but I had more to add as I've properly gone through the steps to give you guys what you need to fix it :D
