Hows this?

When trying to some transcode x265 i noticed nothing would happen for a few seconds then it'd kick me out saying "please check your network connection". I've tested this now on non x265 and i#m getting the same problem; i can't transcode anything. Can anyone advise what i might be doing wrong?

Have you tried an uninstall/reinstall UMS?

I'm aware this "shouldn't" fix this, but it fixed a very similar issue for me.

FYI both after a standard uninstall/reinstall this issue seems to have gone.

FYI i seem to have had some luck with this issue by simply uninstalling and reinstalling UMS, consider giving that a go, i didn't even need to clear the settings.

This is almost exactly the same as the post i made a few days ago, still no response to it, forum response seems very very slow these days, i wonder if support on UMS is dwindling.

I have a feeling this may be my mums shonky talktalk router which will be replaced with a virgin one in a few weeks, but anyone know of anything i can set in UMS to get around this?

Literally seconds after i hit "restart" at the top of UMS, it will show up on renderers, but often (not always) won't ...

Been a few threads about x265, i'm not really sure whats going on with it, i know my Samsung TV will play normal X65 but NOT the 10 bit x265 files, might be something worth checking.

In the past, UMS used to stream stuff that could play directly and transcode stuff that doesn't. Somewhere around ...

I would first of all plug in your ps3 or 4 and eliminate wireless as the cause of your issue?
