Re: Problem with UMS 6.0.0 and VLC on AppleTV
If you want UMS to transcode
Apple-iDevice-VLC.conf
UserAgentSearch = VLC%20for%20iOS/\d{3}|(VLC-TV)
or if you want to skip transcoding
Apple-iDevice.conf
UserAgentSearch = AppleCoreMedia|nPlayer|Twonky|8player|yxplayer2|MPlayer |NSPlayer/4|AirAV|AcePlayer|Skifta|AirVideoFree|(VLC-TV)

Re: Problem with UMS 6.0.0 and VLC on AppleTV
Looks like they took "Darwin" out of the config I updated last year.
I'd suggest editing Apple-iDevice-VLC.conf , either make a copy first (if you don't the next UMS update may overwrite your changes) or just edit the line for UserAgentSearch to the following:
UserAgentSearch = VLC%20for%20iOS/\d ...

Re: Impossible to change VLC in transcoding status
There's nothing to configure. If UMS is set up correctly, when you open Infuse on the Apple TV 4 go to Settings -> Network Shares -> it should find UMS. Select it and save as a favorite.MKUltra wrote:Hi Matt,
Can you please provide step-by-step instructions on how configure Infuse to work with UMS?

Has anyone ever tried connecting Apple TV 3 with UMS?
Interested to know if it's possible. Or does ATV even support DLNA?

Re: Impossible to change VLC in transcoding status
What video formats are failing? According to the Nastify iOS description it supports most popular video formats, you shouldn't even need to have transcoding enabled in UMS. You should check the logs and the connected/detected render device screen in UMS. Is it recognizing as an iOS device? If not ...

Re: UMS is "renaming" the files on the TV
I'll give this a try as I've also been experiencing this problem with my Bravia KDL50W790B since upgrading to UMS 5.x.
In my case, the filename shows up as "[FFmpeg] {Audio: AAC/Japanese ()} {Sub: SSA/English ()} | MPEG" (without the quotes). I've also attached my logs.

The original poster Maverick261 was also using a Bravia TV. Can one of you post an example of what the show name lists as on your Bravia or a screenshot of your TV while browsing. He said his were showing up as: "the name of the encoder, the language and the subtitle (e.g.: [MEncoder] (Audio ...
