is there a way to force UMS to scan a directory for newly y downloaded subtitles without having to stop and restart the whole UMS?

for the very nice web interface (is it new in 4.0?) - is there some form of access control planned? I would like to have something like subsonic has for it's mp3 server..

anyone? does it even work?

I have an Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 based server that sweats at 75% on all cores when it transcodes h264/720p to a PS3. As the server is still good I would like to add a cheap graphic card just for recoding - what would be a viable card?

1) the "clear all" button is at least 4 times there and doesn't do anything, so the folder is plastered with ...
