Re: Panasonic ffwd rwd
Nope no ideas yet. But the debug files at least shows that the avi file is transcoded instead of just streamed. This of course kills fwd etc. real good.toontoon wrote:Hello,
Finally been able to post a debug.log with correct ffwd and rwd on an avi file as discussed.
Any ideas how this can get fixed in the later versions.
We'll need to look into this further.

I know. Suspect the answer could be to prevent avi files being transcoded.

Re: Panasonic ffwd rwd
Yeah, but that should be teh case already. Try and set StreamExtension (in the render conf file) = avi
It can't hurt...

Re: Panasonic ffwd rwd
Interesting, but puzzling. Set StreamExtensions=avi on UMS and it worked perfectly on avi. However all previous versions have always had this set to "blank" for panasonic and it worked perfectly. Something must have changed in the build of pms and carried forward into ums.
Do I now need to set the same for all other formats panasonic accepts without transcoding.
Should I now set the below?
StreamExtensions=avi,iso,mpg,divx,mpeg,vob,xvid

Re: Panasonic ffwd rwd
Yes do that. And pls verify (if you got videos of all those formats), if it works I'll update the default values for UMS...
Something changed there way back around SHB27 or so I'll need to do some gravedigging...

Re: Panasonic ffwd rwd
will try all those formats out and report back.
One new issue come to light and just tested is that viewing an image in portrait rather than landscape no longer works. Rotation is fine but a jpeg in portrait returns file not supported. This worked fine on the previous SHB build.

Re: Panasonic ffwd rwd
I can confirm that all those formats listed now work. However ffwd and rwd is no good on iso or vob as it is transcoding again.
Re: Panasonic ffwd rwd
I've just recently moved from PMS to UMS and it seems a lot more stable.
I am having the same problem with jpeg images in portrait on my ps3. UMS running on win7 32 as a service. Any plans to address this? Thanks.toontoon wrote:will try all those formats out and report back.

Re: Panasonic ffwd rwd
Did it ever work on UMS or PMS, or was that a feature that only worked on the SharkHunter builds?
