Upgrading 5.0.0 to 5.2.3 fast forward not available (Samsung UA55F7100)

Post by skydivinggeek »

Hi All,

When I upgraded from version 5.0.0 to 5.2.3, I am finding that the function to fast forward on my Samsung UA55F7100 or search the timeline is no longer available.

When I play MKV's normally it would say that an episode is 42 minutes long and now it displays 00:00:01 long. I can play it but no other functions that used to be there are gone.

Can someone tell me what is going on and what I need to do to fix it?

Many thanks for your time and responses.

Andy

Hi skydivinggeek, please attach logs from the two versions so we can see what's going wrong (viewtopic.php?f=9&t=556)

Hi Subjunk,

attached is log files from version 5.0.0 and 5.2.3, I did notice that a MKV will be noted as AVI when I was running ver 5.0.0 and when I upgraded it to 5.2.3 it says its a MPEG. I have also attached photos of the same title being run in version 5.0.0 and 5.2.3

Thanks for the logs but we need trace mode enabled when you make them, otherwise the information we need isn't there

Also I found that one MKV did work and another did not.

I am including the Mediainfo text files just in case they also yield anything helpful.

Sorry for the late reply skydivinggeek. It seems that you have enabled the "Encoded audio passthrough" setting on the Audio sub-tab of the Transcoding Settings tab. That's causing UMS to transcode the file and might be the issue. Please disable that setting and if it still doesn't work, please include the new logs
