Re: UMS not working with PS3
Can you describe your problem a bit more detailed than: "I really cant make it work"
I dont' think logs from PMS will help much, only i can see you're running java 7
Either update java to version 8, or try download UMS for java7

Re: UMS not working with PS3
I don't think Java 7/8 matters much to be honest, since we code it for Java 7 and doesn't really use the stuff that's new in Java 8. Running UMS on Java 8 is just running Java 7 code on a newer JVM.
That said, we have no need for a log from PMS without problems. How are we supposed to figure out what's wrong from that? You're not the first I've heard that claims that PMS works better under certain circumstances, but there has been done a lot of development in UMS and some of it might introduce bugs or be flawed. If we're ever going to find those bugs, a general claim that "PMS works better" won't really help in any way. What are we to do? Go back and look at the thousands of changes that's been done since PMS and try to guess which one is affecting your setup?
I use UMS with a PS3, and it works mostly fine for me, so the problem isn't that the support for the PS3 is bad. Other than that you really have to give some actual information to get som actual feedback.

Re: UMS not working with PS3
I've been using UMS with my PS3 since SubJunk started UMS from his SubJunk builds (I defected along with SJ
), and it works great for me. Also works with my PS4, given the limitations of the PS4 media player, as well as my Yamaha receiver.

Re: UMS not working with PS3
Ok, sorry i was going to post the bad try log, but, installed version for Java 8 instead of 7, then it doesnt work, but i try again to switch off windows firewall for local intranet and voilá...
Start digging in the exceptions of the firewall, and i think i had to add all the "Java ... Platform ... instances" (attached image) in addition to the UMS.exe.
Anyway with la java instances and ums.exe in the exceptions of firewal for intranet, now it works ok.
Thanks and sorry.
