Yes I have read this line in the manual, but if this is the case it shouldn't support any subtitles to stream from a computer or nas right?Andreasryden1980 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 09, 2018 2:35 am Made some google
*Dont Think this is about UMS.
The TV does not support subtitles on video streams from a computer or NAS.

• Audio Codecs : AAC, MP3, WAV, WMA (v2 up to v9.2), WMA-PRO (v9 and v10)
• Subtitles : – Formats : SRT, SUB, TXT, SMI – Character encodings : UTF-8,
• Image Codecs : JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP
•Limitations : – Maximum supported total bit rate for a media file is 30Mbps. – Maximum supported video bit rate for a media file is 20Mbps.
– MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) is supported up to High Profile @ L5.1.
– H.265 (HEVC) is supported upto Main / Main 10 Profile up to Level 5.1
Supported media server software (DMS)
• You can use any DLNA V1.5 certified media server software (DMS class).
So there has to be an option.
Like I previously wrote If I was trying to watch a dubbed movie it let me choose my subtitles, and worked perfectly, but if I have watched a show with engdub then it didn't even gave me the option to choose subs and didn't even wrote [SUB:RIP] in the title like it did with all my hungarian dubbed movies etc.
I tried of course setup the transcoding setting because, that was the first thing that came to mind, but all is good there I think.
This is really weird to me.
Re: Philips Android TV PUS6561/12 not showing any file
Tried it out, it's a progress, now the title says SUBRIP/Hungarian if I copy the .srt file into the folder with the same name, so it recognizes it for sure but I can only choose "Angol" which is the English subtitle.
Maybe that's snatched from opensub.org?

If it says Subrip it found a external subtitle, like a srt file.
But if you remove the srt file, do you still get a subtitle?
If you still got subtitles in the Movie the subtitle is embedded in the video file.
Like in my case.
I got external subs, a srt file.
But my TV wont display that subtitle even that UMS have found it.
But it the sub is embedded in the file, it will display the subtitle.

Once I remove the .srt file from the folder it doesn't give me the option to choose english subs either and it doesn't says SUBRIP etc in the title anymore.Andreasryden1980 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 10, 2018 7:38 am If it says Subrip it found a external subtitle, like a srt file.

Weird, really weird.
If I leave the hungarian subtitle then it says it on the title so UMS recognize it, but I can only choose english subs. This is some messed up sorcery. lol
Re: Philips Android TV PUS6561/12 not showing any file
We might not be able to support "streaming" subtitles for your device, which is when we send the subtitle as its own stream along with the video and audio. It's possible that the device doesn't support that kind of thing, or just that we are doing it a different way to what it expects.
So we can go the other way and make sure we transcode the subtitles when we need to. Please try the attached one.
This will make it so that when there are external subtitles that match your language preferences, we will transcode them (burn them onto the video stream). This means you can't change subtitles language on-the-fly on your device, so your language preferences in UMS will need to be accurate.
Also you can always go into the #--TRANSCODE--# folder to manually choose options.

I wouldn't mind this option, as far as it burns the right subs I'm happy.SubJunk wrote: ↑Sun Nov 11, 2018 1:22 pm We might not be able to support "streaming" subtitles for your device, which is when we send the subtitle as its own stream along with the video and audio. Testing done, the results are that my TV doesn't see any shared folders any more smh.
I'd be better off teaching english to my missus

EDIT:
I've managed to recover the files, and now I can see the Transcode settings and all, but once I choose a file to play, I get a black loading screen and after a minute of loading I get a "File's missing or not readable" message.

Unfortunately it doesn't work for me, now all I have is just a blank loading screen if I push play. :/Andreasryden1980 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 8:16 pm Pls try this file.
