dual subtitles

Simple question about a GREAT program. How can I choose UMS(2.2.1) to use external (.srt or .sub) subtitles if .mkv also has it's own embedded subtitles? Now I have removed subtitles from .mkv using mkvmerge but there's got to be a smarter way to this :)

Via the #TRANSCODE folder you can always choose which subtitle you prefer; both embedded as external...

Thanks, never visited that before ;)
I got this working but not choosing external subtiles, mencoder audio{([])}... is what I needed. Thanks. Now I have to teach this to my wife :D
