Re: [Solved] Prettifying filenames
If you change the name of the file then it will not be able to make a proper match with movie sites like IMDB. UMS will not know that a file beginning with "Marvel" is not the name of the movie so it looks for ones that contain that in 2016. It looks like that Pokemon movie is the only mat...

Re: [Solved] Playback 4K in LG TV
If you only have the one device you plan to use UMS on then you can set "Skip transcoding for the following extensions (comma separated):" in transcoding settings to all the filetypes you plan on playing. Something like "MKV,MP4,AVI" etc. This will affect all devices on the netwo...

Re: How to change the renderer for a given device?
You would have to modify an existing conf that is similar and change the UserAgentSearch and UpnpDetailsSearch options to match your device. Using the + button will let you write a new conf for that specific device based on its UUID or IP address. There isn't a way to tell UMS to use another conf fo...

Re: UMS on New Mac
I don't know anything about Macs so I don't think I can be of much help, but if you are able to get the log files I might be able to see why it is not running properly. On windows the logs are located in "C:\ProgramData\UMS\debug.log" but have no idea on a Mac but I assume there is a simil...

Re: Marked as played resets after restart
Glad it is working properly now. It was probably related to the second user thing. There should not be any slowdown but maybe this is due to upgrading the database for all the access control stuff in V14. If you did a fresh install of V14 it might just be the scanning of all your files for the first...

Re: UMS on Samsung Smart TV (CU7000)
The HLS one should not stop any that were previously playable being not able to be played as it does not change the supported formats. All I can think of is the speed tests were different between restarts so is choosing to transcode those that were previously streamed due to a lower measured network...

Re: UMS on Samsung Smart TV (CU7000)
The screenshots look normal. Those videos that are showing as 0.00B are those that will be transcoded as they are not supported on that TV. To check if these videos are actually able to play properly then try playing from the #--TRANSCODE--# folder and choose "No transcoding" (if you do no...

Re: Marked as played resets after restart
Could you create the logs as shown in the red section above, I can't really make sense of them when they are just rar files as I have no idea if they contain everything. When packing the logs they should be zip files and I can just import them in my log viewer without needing to extract them. I did ...

Re: UMS on Samsung Smart TV (CU7000)
For some reason UMS is not making matches anymore with that conf I made and was falling back to the old NotCD conf.
I did see a small error that may have been a factor but I also another change which makes it slightly less strict but there should not be any other devices that will match.

Re: How to get UMS to work?
UMS uses Java and now installs a stand alone version (jre17) which is the javaw.exe program. I don't know anything about Jellyfin but I'm guessing it uses java too and probably in the same way as UMS. You don't add a folder for an exception for firewall rules, this will be for the anti virus scannin...
